Final Dinner With the Family

We just wrapped up dinner and cake with my parents in Cincinnati. By parents I refer to my mother Mary, step dad Lee, my father Mark, and my step mother Lisa. Lauren and I made pesto with some of the basil my mom had grown over the summer, then ate gluten and dairy free cake that Lauren made under the guidance of my mother. Saying good bye always seems like a sad event, but it's not good by, it's see you a little later. Hugging everyone as we bid farewell reminded me once again how lucky I am to have such a wonderfully supportive family. It's a hard feeling to describe, hugging my Mom and Dad I wanted to just curl up between them. I love you all so much.

We then had a short visit with Lauren's brother David who lives just around the block. David works for the airline so we should be seeing him out there shortly and perhaps we can convince him to come and live in Los Angeles with us.

Now we're just finishing up Lauren's taxes and praying for sleep through the night. I'm exhausted. Tomorrow we're going to get up and try to move some stuff around in the card to afford a little more room. Then we're off. See you then!
